EB Scores with French deal
Electronics Boutique has continued its European expansion with the acquisition of France's second largest games retailer Scoregames.
The deal will cost the retailer �6m with an additional consideration of �.4m a possibility depending on the performance of the 37-store chain.
EB chairman Peter Lewis commented: "The acquisition of Scoregames is another significant step in our European strategy, bringing our total number of branded, franchised and gaming outlets in Europe (outside the UK and The Republic of Ireland) to 141 compared with four just four months ago. We believe that our timing for entering this market presents a significant opportunity for sustained growth."
