Firstly, I'd like to start by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Now that it's over, and we're starting to look towards the new year, we have to get in-depth with preparations for the first truly International DDR Tourney.
This tournament is intended to coincide with MUZIC, being run by one of Japan's most famous DDRers (and apparently sponsored by Konami, but all I have seen up to this point is "supported" which means they aren't going to sue) =)
The idea is to organise a tournament in your local area, no matter what MIX you're playing on, and send pictures, results and stories of how so many people in so many different areas got together to celebrate DDR on the same weekend. There will also be an "International Ranking" with the top person from each area playing a set list of songs on DDRMAX (sorry Euros) and then setting up a global comparison.
For more information on how to compete and show your local support for DDR, head on over to ddrinternational.net. The current and almost definitely final dates for the comp are 12-13 Jan 2002.
