Konami have one major development on 5th MIX in their latest updates: The release date for the game is now Autumn 2001 (Northern Hemisphere, obviously). This all but confirms it is a PSX game, as the release date means obviously the game has been converted from arcade to PSX already. It all depends on demand now, or if Konami are hiding the truth...also, they have added a Q&A/FAQ page regarding the memory card data submissions, which is pretty useles outside of Japan...
The Extra MIX page updated with comments from programmers, as is tradition for Konami 1 week before release. Two new things are revealed: The Arcade Link mode is still included, and there is one currently unannounced hidden song, the only clue to its identity is what roughly translates as a strange space-like beat with vocals which confuse the player. This could either be a 5th MIX song, or perhaps if we're really lucky, a 2mb mix of a Solo tier song...in which case it's obviously not Drop Out. If only 2mb would re-do Wild Rush - but that has no vocals! Oh well...
