RTF PSSP 12th: What happened on the day in Sydney @ 2/22/2002 9:46:03 AM
The Ranking Task Force's (RTF) own DDR International competition, the PSSP, has finally finished in all of the 4 locations by Sunday the 3rd of March.

The locations that participated this time round is Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Japan and a small group of SoCal players from the US.

Results are being processed by Edward@RTF, our leader in Japan, at the time of typing. They will be all for viewing in the Official RTF homepage.

So what happened in Sydney?
Everyone got together on a sunny and fine Saturday, the 2nd of March in Playtime Amusement Center in George Street, the heart of Sydney city. The comp started 5 minutes late (because i went to have lunch but didnt check my watch) and the first division we did was Trick after everyone did the preliminary song which determined which division (Trick or Heavy) they should belong to.

There was a couple of surprising moments, such as the DDRMAX machine turned itself off (yes...it went blank all of a sudden!) 2 times and we need to tell the players to play once more. Then there was also the really well-performed freestyle (or pafo/performance as we call it) by Michael@RTF and Jeff.

The climax of the day was the Heavy division. It was really good to see the best 4 players in Sydney went and tried to bite eachother's head off. The four players, Michael@RTF, Toby, Pete and Minai all went through a drill of the hardest song in DDRMAX such as Exotic Ethnic, So Deep, Healing Vision: Angelic Mix and MAX300 with only a 5 minute break inbetween songs!

The only other funny thing that happened on the day is we got 7 people on 1 platform, playing 1 arrow each, and trying to pass MAX300 in extra stage where the arrow comes down with a x1.5 boost on. We did that 2 times and each time we didnt even last for 30 seconds! 7 people and we still cant finish 1 song!

The day ended with the Low Score Attack where u try and get the most 'GOOD' as possible and Perfect Attack where u need to get the most perfect and full combo the song at the same time.

The day was challenging, but it was also fun because we havent had a big comp like this for ages!

Thank you to everyone who entered or came to watch on the day!

Also one last news: The next round of PSSP will be on the first weekend in May. I'm the organiser again! muahahahaaha :)
